Brown Bag Lunch: What State Criminal Defense Lawyers

Need to Know about Federal Court

Tuesday, November 17, 12:30 to 1:30
At Todd & Weld, LLP, One Federal Street, Boston

Jane Peachy and Victoria Kelleher will lead a conversation about practical federal issues lawyers with a primarily state criminal defense practice may encounter, including (but not limited to):

  • ·        How to help clients with both open federal and state cases;
  • ·        Concurrent versus consecutive federal and state sentences;
  • ·        Representing a client in state court who is on federal probation;
  • ·        Jail credit between federal and state matters;
  • ·        How to assess the effect of a state conviction on federal sentencing.

Bring your lunch and your questions, comments and stories!

For building security, please RSVP to Ruth O’Meara-Costello at rcostello@zalkindlaw.com.

We hope to hold informal lunches approximately monthly; if there are  topics you would love to see MACDL cover, please email Ruth (rcostello@zalkindlaw.com).
