Brett D. Lovins is a criminal defense attorney with the law firm of Lovins & Metcalf. He has served as lead counsel for hundreds of defendants facing felony and misdemeanor charges in district, superior, and appellate courts. He has tried dozens of criminal cases to verdict, obtaining acquittals for clients after trials involving a wide variety of charges, such as drug possession and trafficking, white collar crimes, theft offenses, firearm offenses, violent offenses, and operating under the influence. He also represents individuals involved in investigations and in civil matters related to the collateral consequences of conviction. Before entering private practice, he was an Assistant District Attorney in Suffolk County. Mr. Lovins holds a J.D. cum laude from Suffolk University Law School and a B.A. cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania.
